We Rock Radio staff are all on volunteer basis and just as every Radio station, we have a set of rules and regulations that apply to all staff. Terms of Service User Agreement
Computer Requirements 1. high speed internet connection 2. Windows Operating System 2000 or above - Windows 98 & ME will not be accepted 3. minimum requirement of 256 MB of Ram or Higher - preferably 512 MB 4. You are required to have yahoo and ICQ and with preferably a DJ or name. 5. 500 mp3 minimum to start and a growth to 2000 mp3 or more with time. Internet DJ's are advised to have a CD Re- Writeable Burner to save their songs regularly and increase the number of songs to keep up with the latest but this is not required. Internet DJ Terms and Regulations 1. You are at least 21 years of age. We want aggressive and creative outgoing team players with good personalities. 2. This is a free Internet-based radio station serving online communities, internet listeners and all staff are volunteers. We Rock Radio takes pride in the quality of it's internet DJ's and only chooses the cream of the line. You must be able to multi-task yet keep your composure as it can be very hectic. 3. All internet DJ's are required to behave in a proper and professional manner. Misbehavior or Bad mouthing any other radio station will NOT be tolerated or allowed & will be subject to dismissal. 4. We are here to serve our listeners. Our listeners come first and we play what they wish to hear. In any three-hour period, you should not intentionally play more than three songs (and not more than two songs in a row) from the same recording; you should not intentionally play more than four songs (and not more than three songs in a row) from the same recording artist or anthology/box set. Archived programs (those that, when accessed, always start in the same place and play in the same order) should be at least five hours long, and should not be available for more than two weeks at a time. 5. Although this is a volunteer radio station, we have a schedule drawn up for each internet DJ and we require that you show for your scheduled shifts - if you are unable to work your shift, you are required to notify a member of management at least 3 hrs before your scheduled time and if it is an emergency then you are required to telephone any one of the management team. Immediate dismissal will be in effect for failure to turn up for your shift 3x in a row without any accepted good reason. If you have any problems please do not hesitate to bring the matter up with the management. 6. We do not entertain nor allow any form of drama within or outside the station from any staff. If any staff with We Rock Radio ID has been seen to cause any drama even outside the station in any chat place, the said person will be dismissed if found guilty after investigations and this is final with management. If you are asked to leave, please do so with dignity and maturity without creating any unpleasant situations for other staff. We Rock Radio will not be held responsible for any immediate dismissal and or unauthorized actions. 7. Each application will be reviewed by the management and successful candidates will be informed via mail or word of mouth on the date and time of an interview which will be conducted in voice or phone. 8. All staff of We Rock Radio are to be treated with respect and if anyone has a problem or issue with any other member or situation at We Rock Radio then it is required that the matter be brought to the immediate management on duty and in absence of the said person, to the any of the Administrative Team. No one is to bring any negativities to any other DJ or staff for it will not be entertained and will be considered drama, and dealt with accordingly. The Management on duty will handle all staff complaints, if the complaints can not be dealt with at the time It will then go through the chain of command. 9. A valid phone number is required to work here at We Rock radio. This will be given ONLY to the Lead Management and WILL be kept confidential. Reasoning for this is to verify voice and area of residence. Any questions about this, leave it out of the application and contact a member of management with your concerns. These guidelines are created to provide only quality internet DJ's for our listeners. We apologize to those of you who wish to join our team but are unable to meet the requirements set by We Rock Radio. We hope that you will help support us by listening to our station and spreading the word around to your friends. If you cannot meet the DJ requirements, please contact a member of management to discuss promotions team employment. The above Terms of User Agreement is binding and will govern with immediate effect upon acceptance. Having read all terms and regulations set by We Rock Radio, please apply with We Rock Radio.
